I felt compelled to write as I reflect on the similarities that I share with Dillon Henry. I did not know him, yet through parallel compassion towards the Darfuri people, I want to help keep his passion alive. The Dillon Henry Youth Centers in the Oure Cassoni camp are of particular interest since I have experience working and living in Africa, especially with vulnerable war-affected communities (mostly women and children) in IDP camps and areas of return in northern Uganda. My background deeply resonates with the child safe spaces and GBV programs within the Darfuri refugee camps in Eastern Chad. I would iike to inquire about working in the field to help keep Dillon’s dreams alive. Kindest regards and many thanks for creating a cause to honor Dillon Henry; may many learn to follow in his footsteps.
